亞洲：Asia
非洲：Africa
北美洲：North America
南美洲：South America（又稱為拉丁美洲 Latin America）
歐洲：Europe
南極洲：Antarctica
大洋洲：Australasia & Oceania
(以下的資料都是姊姊提供的，有些是她新找的，大部分都是她自己之前上課的時候保存的，我只有協助改錯字跟放Link。)

再一次覺得讓姊姊幫我們上地理課是不明智的決定，她讓我跟妹妹覺得自己很笨。
我只能說，沒有方向感跟路癡是會遺傳的。(硬要牽拖)

(1) 我跟妹妹自己寫出What I know about…
(2) 然後寫下What I want to know about…
(3) 姊姊上完課之後，我們在寫下What I learned about…

最大的是….亞洲 ASIA
Asia This is the worlds largest continent
This continent has 4 million people who live on it.
Asia is made up of 48 countries.
These countries include: China, Japan, part of Russia, and Mongolia. 

Parts of Asia are very hot, and others parts can be very cold
Famous Landmarks: Taj Mahl, Wall of China, and Mt. Everest.
Some animals that live in Asia include: Pandas, Elephants, and Camels.

第二大 非洲 Africa
Africa Africa the world’s second largest continent
Over 1 million people live in Africa.
There are about 50 countries that make up the continent of Africa.
Some of these countries are: Madagascar, South Africa, Angola, and Cameroon

Famous landmarks include: the Pyramids in Egypt, Mt Kilimanjaro and Victoria Falls in Tanzania.
Some animals that live in Africa are: Camels, Bongos, Cheetahs, and Giraffes.
Weather in Africa in hot and dry in the top of the continent and more cool and rainy in the middle.

第三大 北美洲 North America
North America is the third largest of the seven continents.
The countries that make up the Continent of North America are Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
There are 528,720,588 that live in the continent of North America.

Some famous landmarks of this continent are: Mount Rushmore, the Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls, Panama Canal, and Lake Superior.
The weather can be very hot in some parts of the continent to very cold in other parts.
Some animals that live on this continent are: Caribou, Armadillo, and the Brown bear.

第四大 南美洲 South America（又稱為拉丁美洲 Latin America）
South America South America is the fourth largest continent in size
The population of South America is 387,489,196 people.
Twelve countries make up the continent of South America.
These countries include Argentina, Columbia, Peru, and Ecuador

The weather is some parts is very rainy. In other parts, it can be dry.
Famous Landmarks: Cano Cristales River, Colombia, the Salt Flats, and Cave of Crystals.
Animals found in South America are: Alpaca, Iguana, Anaconda, and Salamander

第五大 歐洲 Europe
Europe Europe is the sixth largest continent in size
There are 738,199,000 people in Europe.
There about 50 countries in Europe.
Some of these countries are: Ireland, France, Germany, Holland, and Norway.

The weather is Europe varies. It can be very wet in some parts and drier in other parts.
Famous landmarks include: The Colosseum in Rome, Italy, Eiffel Tower, Paris, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy.
Animals found in Europe include: red fox, pika, and mink
備註：A pika is a small mammal, with short limbs, very round body, rounded ears, and no external tail. They resemble their close cousin the rabbit, but with shorter ears. They live in mountainous countries in Asia, with two species also in North America.

第六大 南極洲 Antarctica
Antarctica Antarctica is the 5th largest continent
No one lives here permanently, but there are about 4000 researchers there in the summer, Antarctica is made up of only one country-Antarctica.

Antarctica Weather: it is very cold. The highest temperature ever reached was 58F and the lowest temperature was -128.
Animals: Blue whales, seals, penguins.
Famous Landmarks: Ross Ice Shelf, Polar Ice Cap, and Vinson Massif

最小的是 大洋洲 Oceania & Australasia
Australia is the smallest inhabited continent of the seven continents.
There are 36,593,000 people in Australia.
Australasia is made up of Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and several nearby islands.
Oceania is made up of 25,000 volcanic and island scattered over a vast area of the Pacific Ocean, the world’s largest ocean.

The weather in Australia varies.
It can be hot in some places and cooler and rainier closer to the coast.
Some animals that live in Australia are kangaroos, koalas, Tasmanian devils, and wombats.
Famous Landmarks in Australia: the Sydney Opera House, Uluru, and the Twelve Apostles.

這是我很崇拜的一個藝術家 Joel設計的Paper Sydney Opera House，大家可以上他的Made by Joel部落格逛逛喔! (姊妹們小時候最喜歡把他的Paper City印出來貼在紙箱上play house了。)
小介紹 → I was asked to create a Paper City addition for Art Month Sydney. To launch the festival this year, Sydney’s National Art School hosted an ‘Art Month Art Adventure’ event for kids. The project (named Itty Bitty City) was driven by LMNOP magazine, and was based on my Paper City, but also included many other decorations and various recycled materials. Almost 200 kids participated. It looked like so much fun. I wish I could have been there too! LMNOP let me post some images they took of the project, and there is also a great article, with more photos, here on the Art Month Sydney website.

 

小遊戲(1)：
把兩份Continent Cards剪開，請小朋友自行在卡上裝飾，疊好自己那推面向下放在自己的前面，剪刀石頭布，贏的人翻一張自己的卡，放在空桌子上對的位置，看誰佔領的位置多。

⇒ 已經被佔領的Continent就不可以在佔領了，所以後翻出相同Continent的那張卡就形同癈卡。
⇒ 可以請小朋友利用學到的知識來裝飾Continent Cards。比如說：澳洲卡，上面就可以放上鱷魚、無尾熊、歌劇院…..之類的。

小遊戲(2)：classifying
⇒ 準備各個Continent中，不同國家的風俗民情照片(不要找那種很難分辨的)，裁成名片大小。
⇒ 準備指令卡各五張(建築物、動物、食物、地標、其它：TV Shows、舞蹈、運動、服飾….)
⇒ 準備骰子兩顆
⇒ 把一份Continent Cards分別貼在七個小籃子上

把各國的風俗民情卡 & 指令卡，分別混合後，分開面朝下放在桌上，遊戲者各發10張風俗民情卡，骰一次骰子，點數大的可以選一張指令卡。
如果指令卡是【動物】，請遊戲者檢查自己手上的風俗民情卡中有沒有動物，如果有 – 請分別放入對的Continent 盒子中。
如果遊戲者手上沒有動物卡，則需要從桌上的風俗民情卡中取出跟遊戲者人數同等量的風俗民情卡。(三個人遊戲，懲罰就是三張卡。)
誰先把手上的卡歸類完，誰就贏啦!
這個遊戲可以一直持續增加風俗民情卡，小朋友認識的國家越多，可以分類的風俗民情卡就越多變呢!
風俗民情卡也可以有國旗唷!! ^_^

這本書買二手就好，2011年出版的，內文已經有些需要update了，可是我還是很喜歡，不知道是不是因為這本書讓我家姊姊對世界地理這麼感興趣，但是我家這本已經看到爛到連膠帶都救不了，只好重新買過一本。

♥ 地理的資訊可能會因為政治的變化有新的改變，姊姊學七大洋的時候是接近三年前了，這一次拿出來複習的時候，又發現了ㄧ些2016年才更新的資訊呢!
